NASA's space agency, in collaboration with Katalyst Space, was unable to capture the Swift gamma-ray observatory with the LINK satellite and place it into the required orbit. Despite the failure of the main objective, the spacecraft will still attempt to approach the observatory and perform maneuvers in close proximity to it.
Attempts to restore the functionality of the LINK orientation system proved unsuccessful, even after a software update was performed. Previously, the rescue satellite exhibited uncontrolled rotation and faced issues with its communication system.
