America's national debt has surpassed the $40 trillion mark for the first time. Notably, the US Debt increased by approximately $1 trillion every five months. Robert Kiyosaki, author of the famous book 'Rich Dad Poor Dad,' shared a prediction about the growing US debt on social media, which proved to be accurate.
Discussing the continuous growth of US debt, it is noted that during the presidencies of Donald Trump and Joe Biden, the national debt nearly doubled. According to data from the US Treasury Department, published in a Reuters report, the total US national debt reached a record $40.047 trillion as of last Tuesday. This amount includes $32.266 trillion in government securities available to the public and $7.782 trillion in intergovernmental debt.
An analysis of US government data shows that over a period of about ten months, the national debt grew by $2 trillion. The growth accelerated in recent months: in October 2025, the debt reached $38 trillion, and about five months later, in March 2026, it was $39 trillion. By August 18, the debt exceeded $40 trillion.
Recently, Robert Kiyosaki posted on Twitter (now X), expressing serious concern about the American debt. He warned: 'Soon America's national debt will reach $40 trillion!' In his message, Kiyosaki also asked his followers what actions they are taking in response to this crisis.
In his post, he mentioned that more informed people, such as Jim Richards, predict the price of silver at $200 per ounce and gold at $10,000 per ounce in the near future. Kiyosaki suggested that silver would be the best choice of these two metals in August 2026.
Kiyosaki, who is constantly active on social media, often advises investing in gold, silver, and Bitcoin. The author of 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' frequently calls silver a path to wealth. In this post, he reiterated his confidence in silver, stating that 'of precious metals, I believe silver is the best option in August 2026.'
