A resident of the village of Krasnogorsk in the Parkent district of Tashkent region has been facing the problem of lacking passports for over twenty years, which also deprives her 41-year-old son of an identity document. After the man required hospitalization due to a stroke, his mother reports that medical institutions refuse to admit him without the necessary documents.
In January 2025, the family was promised that the passport issue would be resolved, but instead, they were only provided with temporary certificates. The situation, previously covered by Podrobno.uz, concerns Elena Ivanova (Koltsova). Her passport was confiscated by the local police officer for replacement in 2001, but the new document has never been received.
After the publication of the material, Elena Ivanova appealed to the district migration and citizenship department. Although she was promised assistance with document processing, the family ultimately only received temporary certificates. The woman notes that medical institutions do not accept her son with the existing documents, while the reasons for the delay in issuing permanent identification remain unclear to the family.
The prolonged lack of documents has created a number of other difficulties for the family. Elena cannot apply for the pension she should have been receiving for about seven years, nor can she re-register the apartment inherited from her father or receive social support. Her son, who turned 41 in January, still does not have even a primary identity document.
The current situation has become critical due to the man's health condition. He is at home after the stroke and, according to his mother, is not receiving adequate medical care. Elena is appealing to the responsible agencies, asking for help in hospitalizing her son and completing the document registration process for the entire family.
