Goldman Sachs acquired 4 million shares of Shiprocket, shares rose by 63% in two days

The investment fund Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio made a large purchase of shares in the recently listed Indian company, which provided significant profit to investors in just two days.

Goldman Sachs acquired 40.24 thousand shares of this company. Over two days, the value of these shares increased by 62 percentage points compared to the initial offering price of 97 rupees.

This concerns the logistics aggregation platform Shiprocket Limited. The company was listed on Wednesday, bringing investors a return of 35 percent. Already on Wednesday, Goldman Sachs acquired a 0.55 percent stake in the e-commerce platform Shiprocket. Specifically, Goldman Sachs bought 40.4 thousand shares worth 52.7 crore rupees at a price of 131 rupees per share.

On the listing day, Shiprocket shares generated huge demand from investors, reaching 143.1 rupees compared to the offering price of 97 rupees, which represented a rise of 47.53 percent. On Thursday, the logistics company's shares rose by 9.27%, reaching a high of 156.81 rupees. The company's market capitalization increased to 11,153 crore rupees.

The trading volume of Shiprocket shares reached 104.67 crore rupees, with 68.36 thousand transactions conducted on BSE. Shiprocket's IPO ran from August 12 to August 14. Shares were offered in a price range of 92 to 97 rupees per share, with a lot size of 154 shares. The company planned to raise a total of 1,617 crore rupees through the IPO, including the sale of new shares worth 885 crore rupees and an Offer for Sale (OFS) worth 732 crore rupees, constituting 7.54 equity shares.

Shiprocket, based in Gurugram, was founded in 2011. It is an Indian company providing e-commerce capabilities. It offers technological solutions that help MSMEs, Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brands, and large retailers manage and grow their business both online and offline. According to the financial year 2025 data, Shiprocket was the largest modern end-to-end e-commerce platform in India by revenue.
