As part of the event held on August 15-16, 2026, the India Longevity Summit 2026 took place in Mumbai, organized by Fairmont Mumbai with the support of Le Florence India. This two-day summit, scientifically curated by Dr. Arpit Bansal, a cancer surgeon and 'biohacker Aquaman,' brought together over 40 global experts and more than 500 delegates from five areas of human health. At the conclusion of the event, it was announced that a Longevity Summit would be held in 2027.
Dr. Arpit Bansal, the chief scientific curator, emphasized that participation in the summit marked the beginning of a movement, not just an event, stating: 'India didn't just attend the summit this weekend—India made a pledge. When 500 people gather and realize that the gut, brain, emotions, and purpose are one interconnected system, it is not an event. It is the start of a movement.'
Nitan Khatwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Shrem Group, noted that Fairmont Mumbai was established as a landmark venue for hosting India's most important discussions. He added that observing the development of the summit under their roof, from scientific presentations to meditation by the pool at dawn, reflects the future of hospitality in which they believe.
Rajiv Kapoor, General Manager of the Fairmont Mumbai cluster, highlighted the uniqueness of the summit in bringing together diverse perspectives on well-being in one place. He reported that the hotel teams were involved in the delegates' lives, and this weekend Fairmont Mumbai became a true home for the theme of longevity.
Vikramjit Sharma, Managing Director of Le Florence India, stated that for them, this summit aimed to bring conversations about longevity closer to people, focusing not only on increasing lifespan but also on improving its quality. He called the hosting of the first longevity summit in India, leveraging twenty years of expertise in luxury experiences, the culmination of their work.
S. Sivasankaran, founder of AIWO and title sponsor of the summit, stated that longevity is not a fleeting trend but a topic they have addressed for years. He noted that the past weekend proved India's readiness to seriously engage with this topic, and AIWO is proud to have spearheaded this movement.
