The Greater Noida and Jewar area is rapidly transforming into a major industrial and development hub. The Noida International Airport, film city, New Noida, and numerous industrial projects are significantly strengthening the region's transport infrastructure.
As part of this development, construction is planned for a new 6-lane expressway spanning 74 kilometers, which can subsequently be expanded to 8 lanes. This new route will provide a direct connection between the Jewar airport zone and the Ganga Expressway, located near Bulandshahr.
The Uttar Pradesh government (UPEIDA) has approved a budget of 8,585.51 crore rupees for this expressway and has announced tenders. The project aims to be completed within the next three years. The new section will start from the 24.8 km mark of the Yamuna Expressway (near Sector 21, next to the Film City) and end at the Ganga Expressway near Siyana in Bulandshahr. The expressway, which will pass through 56 villages, will significantly simplify the movement of passengers and goods.
Rohit Kishore, CEO of Hero Realty, believes that the opening of Jewar Airport will change the landscape of Greater Noida's development. He predicts that improved connectivity will attract new investments, stimulate business, and create jobs. This will lead to a sharp increase in demand for residential and commercial real estate in the region, making this area attractive to homebuyers and long-term investors.
Varun Garg, Director of Karyaan Group, notes that this expressway will connect the Jewar-Greater Noida area with major commercial corridors such as NH-9. This will reduce the cost and time for transporting goods, opening up new opportunities for warehouses, logistics parks, and manufacturing units, thereby accelerating the urbanization of the entire area.
The expressway will also pass through 'New Noida' (the Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad investment zone). Govar K. Singh, Chairman of Vomeki Group, emphasizes that the joint development of Jewar Airport, New Noida, Film City, and the logistics hub transforms this entire belt from a mere airport area into a multifaceted economic corridor.
This new project is integrated into a series of other major initiatives in the region, including the Faridabad-Jewar Greenfield Expressway, the Chilla flyover, and the Yamuna Pushta road. Furthermore, YEIDA is working on creating a medical center, university town, international stadium, Taiwan city, and a pharmaceutical cluster. The expressway construction will be carried out in two phases: the first phase will cover 24 km (from Bhaipur Brahmanan to Bichhaula), and the second phase will cover 50 km (from Bichhaula to Bahanpur). The project will include 7 underpasses, 14 small and large bridges, 1 flyover, 4 railway viaducts, and a high-tech video surveillance system. Overall, timely completion of the construction will enable this region to become the strongest economic center of North India.
