On Wednesday night, the 19th, ChatGPT began to exhibit glitches, leading to complaints from various users worldwide regarding difficulties in its use.
However, tests conducted by Olhar Digital indicated that the chatbot was functioning normally, suggesting that the interruption was not a widespread issue. The Downdetector website registered over 990 reports related to the platform.
According to OpenAI's official status channel, the company has already implemented a fix and is monitoring the service's performance.
Additional Information on Launch
In addition to the instability, OpenAI had launched a specific version of ChatGPT for teenagers on Tuesday, the 18th. This new version features enhanced protections and is focused on learning for users aged between 13 and 17.
The system is configured to automatically identify users under 18, either through age estimation or voluntary declaration, directing them to the experience adapted for teenagers, as communicated by the company's official statement.
This version includes automatic filters against content related to violence, dangerous activities, self-harm, eating disorders, explicit sexual content, and also prohibits the use of romantic language, encouragement of emotional dependence, or claims of having feelings or consciousness.
A core feature of this youth version is Study Mode, which assists the student through guided questions and gradual support, rather than providing ready-made answers.
