ED conducted searches in Kozhikode based on materials seized from the daughter of the former Kerala state chief

Tuesday was dedicated to subsequent search operations by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in nine locations in Kozhikode. These operations were conducted in connection with individuals mentioned in handwritten notes belonging to Vina, the daughter of former Kerala minister Pinarayi Vijayan, which were seized in May.

On Wednesday, the agency stated that the seizure of handwritten notes and digital devices from Vina revealed her involvement in undeclared transactions totaling over 20 crore rupees in India and 85 lakh rupees related to Dubai.

Previously, the ED had conducted raids in May as part of a money laundering case linked to fraud by Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited.

The agency reported that the handwritten notes contained names of individuals, amounts that were processed or spent, as well as amounts transferred to Dubai. Furthermore, the ED specified that a photograph of a SIM card registered in another person's name for use in a Wi-Fi router was found on the digital devices.
