Hyundai unveils new fifth-generation Tucson crossover with updated design

Hyundai has unveiled the first images of its new fifth-generation Tucson crossover, marking another bold shift in direction for the South Korean company's family SUV.

The new model has moved away from the aggressive design of the current version, which featured numerous creases and sharp lines. Instead, it has been given simpler yet angular shapes that harmonize with Hyundai's latest design language, including a front end inspired by the Cybertruck.

This new Tucson embodies Hyundai's signature design language, named 'Art of Steel.' It has moved away from the previous 'parametric' style in favor of a new philosophy.

Compared to the previous version, the new Tucson is larger: its length has increased by 60 mm, width by 40 mm, and height by 20 mm, reaching an overall length of 4700 mm.

The interior has also undergone significant changes. It is equipped with a large central 'Pleos' infotainment display, a sophisticated ambient lighting system, and a slim dashboard positioned close to the windshield.

As this is only the initial reveal, Hyundai has not disclosed the technical specifications of the new SUV, but it is expected to be available with modifications of 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engines in traditional ICE, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid variants.

More detailed information about the fifth-generation Tucson will be presented closer to its release date.
