Founder of Nexus Holding plans business expansion in Uzbekistan

The founder of Nexus Holding, Nurmuhammad Otakhodzhayev, stated that the company intends to increase its activities in Uzbekistan, create jobs in the regions, and develop export directions. He outlined the company's plans for operations in Uzbekistan during a meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Otakhodzhayev noted that during his sixteen years of life and work in the United States, he had not encountered a level of business freedom comparable to what currently exists in Uzbekistan, and announced his intention to continue operating in the country.

Over the past year, Nexus Holding has significantly increased its presence in Uzbekistan: the company's staff in Tashkent has grown from approximately 300 to 800 employees. Furthermore, over 3,000 people work in the company's operations in the United States.

Employee compensation in Uzbekistan has also increased. According to Otakhodzhayev, in 2025, the company paid $10.3 million to dispatchers through IT Park. Since the beginning of 2026, this amount has exceeded $18 million, and by the end of the year, the entrepreneur expects total employee payments and tax contributions to exceed $35 million.

Otakhodzhayev plans to direct some new Nexus Holding projects to the regions of Uzbekistan. He emphasized that he would first focus on creating jobs for youth in the Khorezm region and then gradually extend this approach to other regions. He stated: 'I will not wait for tomorrow. I will start working today, provide jobs for our youth in Khorezm, and gradually expand to all regions.'

The entrepreneur also discussed plans to expand the company's export activities. Recently, he visited Brazil accompanied by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan and held negotiations with representatives of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency Apex, relevant ministries, and the country's leadership.

Following these meetings in Brazil, an Uzbek trading company was opened for the first time, and a corresponding agreement was signed. Otakhodzhayev expects to present the results of work in the new market next year.

Mirziyoyev noted that Otakhodzhayev's assessment is particularly significant given his sixteen years of experience living and working in the United States. The President said: 'I liked what you said about such advantages and conditions that are not available everywhere. It would be good if you told our entrepreneurs about this more often.'
