An international competition for projects aimed at the reconstruction of the Hwamyeon open pool is underway. The goal of the competition is to create synergy with the Busan waterfront beautification initiatives and transform the facility, which is currently used only in the summer, into a year-round family recreation spot, developing it as an ecological seaside leisure zone.
The competition is held under the theme 'Creating a model of spatial service for a constantly used water recreation and entertainment complex for the family (pool).' It invites the submission of design proposals that reflect the ecological, natural, and cultural values of the former open pool located in Hwamyeon Ecological Park.
