This incident occurred in the village of Laliyana, Bagpat. According to relatives, Anish was bitten by a stray dog approximately three months ago. Initially, he did not experience serious problems, so he did not take it seriously and did not receive the anti-rabies vaccine. However, after some time, Anish's condition suddenly worsened.
He first sought treatment in Merat, believing he had a fever, but it was then discovered that he had rabies. Shortly after, his behavior became abnormal: he would lie on the ground or suddenly start running. As his condition continued to deteriorate, his family and neighbors tried to take him to the hospital.
However, reaching the hospital proved to be an extremely difficult task. Anish's condition was so severe that he was difficult to control. Therefore, his hands had to be tied with ropes to transport him to the medical facility. During this process, someone recorded a video showing people holding Anish and taking him to the hospital.
The photos show Anish lying on the ground, surrounded by people trying to support him. His hands are tied with ropes. Although at first glance it might seem like the person is being punished, in reality, the people were trying to save his life. Nevertheless, Anish died before arriving at the hospital.
This incident once again highlighted the need to raise awareness about rabies. It is crucial to immediately wash the wound after a dog bite or any other potentially infected animal and seek medical attention without delay. It is necessary to receive the anti-rabies vaccine and undergo other procedures as recommended by a doctor. According to preliminary information about Anish's case, vaccination after the dog bite was not performed, and after three months, his condition became critical.
Since rabies can develop into a very severe disease after symptoms appear, ignoring an animal bite as insignificant can be fatal. The deceased's brother, Sahid, reported that the dog bit Anish 3 months ago. He added that they initially thought he just had a fever and took him to Merat for treatment, where they learned about rabies. At that time, he did not get the rabies shot, and ultimately, he died. Mourning prevails in the family.
