According to the statement, the fund will collaborate with early-stage growth enterprises in the sectors of technology platforms, artificial intelligence/software, deep tech, advanced manufacturing, and consumer goods, which are expected to shape the next phase of the Indian economy.

Following the first closing, the fund plans to concentrate on attracting domestic capital to strengthen its presence in India.

According to Puneet Kumar, CEO of Mirae Asset Venture Investments India, the Indian startup ecosystem continues to show a significant funding gap between Series B and Series D stages, which typically pertains to growth capital.
