Rinku Singh, a disciple of Premānanda Mahārāja, has recently attracted significant attention on social media due to videos where he walks through the streets asking for 'madhukri'—prepared food requested from others, which can be considered alms.
While collecting alms in the streets of Vrindavan, Rinku Singh approached a Muslim's house. When he called out for food at the door, a woman from the house said, 'This is a Muslim's house, brother.' However, Rinku Singh did not move further, remaining standing and saying, 'It's okay! Our Gurudevs consider everyone equal. This is sacred land in India.'
After this, a small child came out of the house, holding several flatbreads, and placed them on a tray held by the sadhu standing next to Rinku Singh. Rinku Singh bowed slightly and thanked him before continuing his journey.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time Rinku Singh has been featured in videos where he asks for alms in the streets of Vrindavan; many similar clips have appeared previously. He also frequently appears with Premānanda Mahārāja. Recently, a video was published showing Rinku carrying Premānanda Mahārāja on his motorcycle.
Rinku Singh, who is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 125 kilograms, previously worked as a professional WWE wrestler. He joined WWE in 2018 and defeated many famous wrestlers in the ring. Currently, he serves at Premānanda Mahārāja's ashram.
Premānanda Mahārāja once commented regarding Rinku Singh that sleep and diet are under human control: 'You can increase it as much as you want and decrease it as much as you want.' He also noted that a person who could previously eat 35 flatbreads a day now contentedly eats one and a half and maintains a healthy lifestyle. Furthermore, someone who used to sleep seven to eight hours a day can now manage their tasks sleeping only three hours. He advised: 'Speak less, sleep less, and eat less. Reading bhajans will eliminate laziness, and when interest in bhajans increases, you will see only God.'
