Butterfly Learnings, an Indian behavioral healthcare platform for children specializing in children with neurodevelopmental disorders, has successfully raised ₹65 crore in a pre-Series B round. The round was led by the venture firm Inflexor Ventures, which supports early-stage technology companies.
Existing investors participated in the round, including Enzia Ventures, Insitor Impact Asia Fund, and IIMA Ventures. The capital raised will be used to expand Butterfly Learnings' network of centers across India, strengthen its technology platform, and commercialize its patented solution for early autism screening.
Furthermore, the company plans to invest in artificial intelligence capabilities, expand collaborations with hospitals and pediatricians, and scale up its internal therapist training program.
Butterfly Learnings was founded by childhood neurologist Dr. Sonam Kotari and healthcare entrepreneur Dr. Abhishek Sen. The goal of creating the platform was to address the gap in the neurodevelopmental care system in India. The platform integrates therapy, diagnostics, digital treatment methods, inclusive education, and technology-based interventions under one umbrella, aiming to provide families with a more coordinated treatment pathway.
Currently, the company operates in over 90 centers across 22 cities in India. This investment comes amid growing awareness in India regarding Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and learning disabilities. Nevertheless, access to specialized care remains uneven.
According to Butterfly Learnings, approximately 45 million children in the country live with neurodevelopmental conditions, yet only a small fraction receives timely intervention due to diagnostic delays, fragmented care pathways, and a shortage of trained specialists.
Dr. Kotari noted that the initial question prompting the company's creation was not whether families needed support—'they desperately did'—but why existing systems continued to fail them. She asserted that the answer is always the same: 'fragmentation,' as diagnosis, therapy, and education often operate independently rather than as part of a cohesive treatment model.
She added that Butterfly Learnings was designed to take responsibility for the 'entire journey,' combining standardized clinical protocols with data and technology while maintaining empathy and transparency. Dr. Kotari emphasized that the new investment will allow the company to implement this model for a much larger number of children.
For Inflexor Ventures, this investment reflects the growing investor interest in specialized healthcare platforms that combine technology with measurable outcomes. Partner Prateep Mazumdar noted that the founders have created a platform that already demonstrates how standardized care with outcome tracking can be delivered at scale.
