The original Ravi restaurant, located in Satwa, issued a public notice to clarify that it is currently not affiliated with two other establishments using the name Ravi in the emirate.
In a statement published on Tuesday, August 18, on the restaurant's official Instagram account, Ravi Restaurant emphasized that it has no connection, is not affiliated, managed, operated, or represented by Ravi Fine Dine on Sheikh Zayed Road or Ravi Restaurant in Al Nahda.
The restaurant specified that these two venues should not be considered branches or operating in partnership with the original Ravi Restaurant in Satwa.
The statement read: 'Any signage, branding, communication, or representation that may create the impression of an ongoing connection with Ravi Restaurant, Satwa, does not reflect our current position.'
Furthermore, Ravi Restaurant added that 'appropriate formal and legal steps' are being taken to address the use of any signage or representation that might imply a connection between these establishments.
The restaurant did not provide further details regarding the nature of these legal measures or whether these establishments were previously associated with the original Ravi Restaurant.
The notice was released 'for the sake of clarity' to customers, business partners, and the public. Ravi Restaurant has been operating in Satwa since 1978 and is known for serving Pakistani cuisine in Dubai.
