Cabinet approves five major infrastructure projects totaling 13,041 crore rupees

At the meeting of the Central Cabinet of Ministers, held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, five large-scale projects related to the development of basic infrastructure were approved. The total cost of these projects amounts to 13,041 crore rupees.

Among the approved initiatives, four projects relate to railway transport, and a four-lane highway in Bihar was also approved. The Cabinet gave its consent to the Hardgapur-Bhadrak (Ranital) fourth railway line project, which is estimated at 3,352 crore rupees. Additionally, 1,583 crore rupees has been allocated for the Bhadrak-Haridaspur fourth railway line.

As part of the expansion of the railway network, projects for the third and fourth Gummidipundi-Gudur railway lines also received approval, with an expenditure of approximately 2,229 crore rupees. The third and fourth Katak-Paradip railway lines project will also be implemented at a cost of 2,286 crore rupees.

To improve road connectivity in Bihar, the Cabinet approved the Muzzaffarpur-Sitamarhi-Sonbarsa four-lane highway project. The cost of this project will be 3,591 crore rupees. This route will improve transportation between Muzzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, and Sonbarsa, located near the border with Nepal.

Thus, on Wednesday, the Central Cabinet of Ministers approved five projects in the fields of railways and road construction totaling 13,041 crore rupees, including four railway projects worth 9,450 crore rupees and one road project worth 3,591 crore rupees.
