Anthropologists have published preliminary findings after studying skeletons extracted from a large mass grave dating back to the Roman period. These remains were discovered in Austria in 2024.
Researchers meticulously examined the damage on the bones of people who died approximately two thousand years ago. According to the analysis results, some of the buried individuals, presumably serving in the army, sustained groin injuries shortly before death.
