UAE company Parkin enters Egyptian market to study smart parking and mobility solutions

Parkin has made its first entry into the Egyptian market by signing a memorandum of understanding with Modon Misr for Asset & Facility Management, Mwasalat Misr, and Redcon Properties. The goal of the cooperation is to study projects in the field of smart parking and mobility.

This agreement is part of Parkin's strategy to expand its operations outside the UAE and apply its experience in parking management and technology in new markets. Under the Memorandum, the companies will assess opportunities in smart parking, public parking, and multi-level parking, including developing plans, parking policies, demand management, and implementing technology-based mobility solutions.

Smart Parking Technologies

The areas under consideration include using Parkin's automatic number plate recognition technology, AI-supported parking cameras, barrier-free parking, digital permits, and parking management platforms at facilities managed by Egyptian partners. The parties also intend to study technical, operational, and commercial models suitable for the Egyptian market.

Parkin stated that its objective is to increase parking efficiency and improve customer experience while supporting the needs of Egypt's growing cities and communities. Mohamed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, noted that this agreement marks an important milestone in the company's regional expansion and opens up new opportunities to apply its operational and technological capabilities. He emphasized that technology, data, and operational experience will be crucial for creating more efficient and seamless parking systems.

Expansion in Egypt

Mohamed Abutaleb, CEO of Modon Misr for Asset & Facility Management, stated that this partnership will combine Parkin's international experience with deep local market knowledge, as Egypt continues to experience urban growth and the development of new residential complexes. The memorandum does not specify the exact project cost or investment volume; it is expected that the parties will evaluate potential initiatives and determine the most suitable operational and commercial structures.

Parkin clarified that this agreement fits into its overall strategy of seeking growth opportunities outside the UAE in markets where there is a need for smart parking and urban mobility services.

After mango export, batch of honey sent from Tripura to Dubai; farmers express satisfaction

Following the successful export of Dashahari and Langda variety mangoes, a batch of Indian honey is now being sent to the markets of Dubai. For the first time, a one-metric-ton consignment of Mustard Honey was dispatched from Tripura. This marks a significant achievement for the agricultural workers and beekeepers of Tripura.

The export of one metric ton of honey was carried out with the support of APEDA through the Dergang Farmer Producer Organization (FPO). This step opens doors to the global market for local farmers and beekeepers of Tripura. Union Minister of Commerce Piyush Goyal called this export a wonderful and historic achievement for the agricultural sector of Northeast India.

This is the first international export of mustard honey from this region of Tripura, which will give a new dimension to the honey business in the state. Because Tripura's products are reaching the markets of Dubai, farmers will be able to receive significantly higher prices compared to local markets, leading to an increase in their income.

This entire process was facilitated by technical assistance from M/s Salt Range Foods Pvt. Ltd., which helped Dergang FPO improve beekeeping and prepare products for export. This success will serve as an incentive not only for Tripura but also for other FPOs and farmers in Northeast India, encouraging them to improve quality and consider export directions.

The historic export batch was sent under the flag of Tripura's Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nat. Many important personalities and officials were present at this event. Ratan Lal Nat highly appreciated this initiative, noting that the first export of mustard honey from Dergang FPO is a matter of pride for the state's farmers and beekeepers. He emphasized that this proves the immense potential of Tripura's agricultural produce in gaining international recognition.

He expressed confidence that the state government is fully committed to promoting organic farming and beekeeping. Through the joint efforts of farmers, FPOs, APEDA, and private entities, Tripura will strengthen its position in the global agricultural market in the future.

It should be noted that honey obtained from mustard flowers (Mustard Honey) is rich in antioxidants, pollen grains, and nutrients. It has a natural white color and takes on the consistency of ghee when solidified.

It should also be mentioned that last month, a consignment of 12.5 tons of Dashahari and Langda variety mangoes from Amroha in Uttar Pradesh was shipped by sea to Dubai in a 40-foot refrigerated container. This successful export shows that the Persian Gulf countries are becoming a major market not only for Indian mangoes but also for other products.
