Parkin has made its first entry into the Egyptian market by signing a memorandum of understanding with Modon Misr for Asset & Facility Management, Mwasalat Misr, and Redcon Properties. The goal of the cooperation is to study projects in the field of smart parking and mobility.
This agreement is part of Parkin's strategy to expand its operations outside the UAE and apply its experience in parking management and technology in new markets. Under the Memorandum, the companies will assess opportunities in smart parking, public parking, and multi-level parking, including developing plans, parking policies, demand management, and implementing technology-based mobility solutions.
Smart Parking Technologies
The areas under consideration include using Parkin's automatic number plate recognition technology, AI-supported parking cameras, barrier-free parking, digital permits, and parking management platforms at facilities managed by Egyptian partners. The parties also intend to study technical, operational, and commercial models suitable for the Egyptian market.
Parkin stated that its objective is to increase parking efficiency and improve customer experience while supporting the needs of Egypt's growing cities and communities. Mohamed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, noted that this agreement marks an important milestone in the company's regional expansion and opens up new opportunities to apply its operational and technological capabilities. He emphasized that technology, data, and operational experience will be crucial for creating more efficient and seamless parking systems.
Expansion in Egypt
Mohamed Abutaleb, CEO of Modon Misr for Asset & Facility Management, stated that this partnership will combine Parkin's international experience with deep local market knowledge, as Egypt continues to experience urban growth and the development of new residential complexes. The memorandum does not specify the exact project cost or investment volume; it is expected that the parties will evaluate potential initiatives and determine the most suitable operational and commercial structures.
Parkin clarified that this agreement fits into its overall strategy of seeking growth opportunities outside the UAE in markets where there is a need for smart parking and urban mobility services.
