The Competition Committee issued a warning to sellers of school uniforms and stationery regarding the inadmissibility of unjustified price increases during seasonal 'school bazaars.'
Ahead of the start of the academic year, such trading points have appeared in various locations across the country, including general education schools, dehqan markets, and trade complexes.
Requirements for Sellers
The Committee emphasized that sellers are obliged to comply with legislative norms, guarantee the quality of the offered products, and provide consumers with all necessary information about the goods, including their price and manufacturer details.
Consumers are advised to carefully assess both the quality and the cost of goods before making a purchase.
Monitoring and Reporting
The Competition Committee monitors pricing at 'school bazaars.' Citizens who discover cases of unjustified price increases can report such violations through the unified hotline 1159.
It was also noted that in the new academic year, more than 795 thousand children will begin their studies, and each student is entitled to a 'Presidential Gift'—a set of twelve school supplies.
