Four athletes from the Uzbekistan national team achieved success on the first day of the World Taekwondo Federation President's Cup in Lahore, Pakistan. The team managed to win three silver and one bronze medal.
First Day Tournament Results
Silver medals were won by Najmiddin Kosimhodzhiev in the up to 74 kilograms weight category, Diyora Azizov in the up to 62 kilograms category, and Svetlana Saidova in the over 73 kilograms class. Marat Mavlonov won the bronze medal in the over 87 kilograms weight category.
The WT President's Cup competitions in Lahore are scheduled until August 20. It is worth noting that Najmiddin Kosimhodzhiev and Marat Mavlonov had previously won bronze medals at the taekwondo Grand Prix stage held in Rome.
