The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has begun a thorough inspection of product claims, classification, ingredient composition, labeling, and packaging. As a result of this regulatory intervention, companies have been ordered to rectify the identified deficiencies.
It was reported in Delhi that misleading claims, incorrect product descriptions, errors in ingredient declaration, and issues with packaging materials came under the close scrutiny of FSSAI. Following the receipt of official notifications, several enterprises have started making the necessary adjustments to their products.
