The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra reappeared in leaks this Tuesday, August 18th, this time accompanied by images that supposedly show the product's unveiling. The material suggests that the brand's next flagship tablet will preserve a look and specifications very similar to those of the previous generation.
According to documentation analyzed by Tecnoblog, the device has already been submitted to Anatel in Brazil. The agency issued the homologation last month, which allows for the official commercialization of the device in the country after its launch. The Galaxy Tab S12 Plus (SM-X840) model also has its approval registered.
The photos released by the Android Headlines website indicate that the tablet will maintain the established visual identity in the line. It is designed to be used in landscape orientation, featuring symmetrical bezels and a small centralized notch on the screen's length, where the front camera will be housed.
The camera arrangement consists of two lenses without a raised module, following the standard Samsung used in its smartphones until the previous year. Furthermore, the material shows the magnetic area intended for fixing and charging the S Pen on the back of the device.
Other recent leaks provided information about possible specifications. Similar to the design, these do not present major differences compared to the Galaxy Tab S11; it is expected to come equipped with a 14.6-inch Dynamic 2X AMOLED screen, operating at a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The main change lies in the processor: it should be a MediaTek Dimensity 9500, supported by up to 16 GB of RAM, available in storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB. Other configurations would remain similar to previous ones.
According to Anatel documentation, the tablet will come with a 25 Watt charger in the box. There is also an indication of compatibility with the same case that includes the keyboard and S Pen of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, which continues to be considered one of Samsung's best tablets available this year.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Plus also had details leaked and is already approved for distribution in Brazil. Its version will feature a 12.4-inch OLED screen and, like the Ultra, will use the Dimensity 9500 chip. The technical sheet foresees 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, and a 10,600 mAh battery with 45 Watt charging capability. However, unlike the more expensive version, the Tab S12 Plus will only support Wi-Fi 6E, according to the Technical Conformity Certificate.
It is expected that the Galaxy Tab S12 line will be officially presented in early September, during IFA, the fair that will take place in Berlin. It is possible that these tablets will share Samsung's launch schedule with the Galaxy S26 FE.
