The BRICS countries, including India, China, Russia, South Africa, Brazil, and others, expressed disagreement on Tuesday with the European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and any other similar trade barriers. These measures were described as 'unilateral, punitive, discriminatory, and protectionist.'
Furthermore, Nirmala Sitharaman emphasized that BRICS countries require more reliable structures for attracting private capital on a large scale.
