ReNew, a renewable energy company, reported a 16% increase in net profit in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, reaching 595 crore rupees. Its revenue for this quarter also increased by 16%, amounting to 4,786 crore rupees compared to 4,118 crore rupees the previous year.
In the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, the company's net profit grew by 16% to 595 crore rupees, whereas it was 513 crore rupees in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026. Furthermore, the commissioned capacity increased by 17% year-on-year, reaching 13.1 GW.
As of June 30, 2026, the company's portfolio amounted to approximately 20.5 GW, including 1.7 GW/6.2 GWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The company has production capacities of 6.4 GW for solar modules and 2.5 GW for solar cells, and plans to expand solar cell production capacity by another 4 GW, which are expected to be operational by December 2026.
The adjusted EBITDA for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 reached 3,039 crore rupees, higher than the figure of 2,722 crore rupees for the same period in 2026. The company forecasts the completion of construction projects with capacities ranging from 1.6 to 2.4 GW in the current fiscal year.
The company specified that the forecasts for adjusted EBITDA and cash flow to equity for the 2027 fiscal year depend on the similarity of weather conditions and resource availability to the 2026 fiscal year. The company also continues to expect net profit from the sale of assets that are part of ReNew's capital recycling strategy, and included an amount of 1–2 billion rupees related to asset sales in the adjusted EBITDA. Additionally, external sales from module and cell manufacturing operations are anticipated, and an amount of 10–12 billion rupees from such sales is included in the adjusted EBITDA.
