Samsung has revised the prices of some of its budget and mid-range 5G smartphones in India. These new pricing policies became effective from August 18, 2026. The revised price list includes several variants of Galaxy M17 5G, M17e 5G, F70e 5G, and F17 5G.
The most significant price increase was recorded in the Galaxy M17 5G model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Its price has increased from ₹21,999 to ₹24,999, meaning customers will now have to pay ₹3,000 more. This price change comes at a time when phones around the ₹20,000 mark are facing stiff competition in the market, which could directly affect consumers' purchasing decisions regarding these Samsung models.
Galaxy M17 5G now starts at ₹18,999
The prices of three different variants of the Galaxy M17 5G have been increased. The model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is now priced at ₹18,999, whereas it was previously available for ₹17,999.
Additionally, the model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage has been raised from ₹19,999 to ₹21,999. Meanwhile, the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model will now cost ₹24,999, up from ₹21,999. Thus, all three models of the M17 5G have seen an increase of ₹1,000, ₹2,000, and ₹3,000 respectively.
Samsung launched the Galaxy M17 5G in India in 2025. This phone features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, Exynos 1330 processor, and a 5,000mAh battery, and is available in 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM options.
M17e 5G also becomes more expensive
Samsung has also increased the prices of two models of the Galaxy M17e 5G. The version with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is now priced at ₹17,499, up from its previous price of ₹16,499. On the other hand, the model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage has been increased from ₹18,499 to ₹20,499. This means that customers will spend ₹1,000 or ₹2,000 more depending on the model when purchasing the M17e 5G.
The M17e 5G is equipped with a 6.7-inch display, a 6000mAh battery, and a 50MP main camera. According to available market listings, its 6GB and 128GB model was previously available around ₹17,000.
Price hike for F70e 5G and F17 5G as well
Samsung has also increased the prices of the 4GB and 6GB models of the F70e 5G by ₹1,000 and ₹2,000 respectively. The 4GB and 128GB model is now priced at ₹17,499, while the 6GB and 128GB model costs ₹20,499.
The price of the F17 5G 6GB and 128GB model is now ₹22,999, up from ₹21,999. Similarly, the price of the 8GB and 128GB model has increased from ₹23,999 to ₹25,999. Thus, both models of the F17 5G have seen an increase of ₹1,000 and ₹2,000 respectively. However, various offers may be available on these phones in the online market, so Samsung's new listed price and the actual selling price may not always be the same. It is also important to note that the online price of the F17 5G 6GB and 128GB model was previously seen around ₹20,000.
