AGMK received certification of compliance with international standard ISO 37001:2025 on anti-bribery

Almalik Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AGMK) has successfully completed an audit and received a certificate confirming compliance with the new international standard ISO 37001:2025, which regulates anti-bribery management systems.

The process of assessing the enterprise's activities and integrating new requirements took about a year. The ISO 37001:2025 standard is the second edition of the international document on bribery risk management, replacing the 2016 version. The new edition includes stricter requirements for compliance control, defining conflicts of interest, and the functioning of specialized structures.

During the transition to the updated standard, the combine digitized procedures for controlling expenses, public procurement, adherence to antimonopoly legislation, and employee hiring processes. These steps are aimed at minimizing the influence of human factors in managerial decision-making.

Rakhimjon Khakimov, head of the certification body Management Certification from the organization QMS CERT, emphasized that the presence of such international certificates at the combine directly impacts Uzbekistan's corruption ratings.

He also stated that the company's anti-corruption mechanisms are considered separately when evaluating the ESG profile, adherence to responsible production principles, and risk analysis by international credit rating agencies.

Previously, the agency Sustainable Fitch increased AGMK's ESG rating from 56 to 59 points, while maintaining the company's sustainability rating at '3'.
