Entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan will be able to start construction immediately after purchasing a land plot at auction, bypassing the need to wait for permits and other documents for six to twelve months. This was stated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on August 18 during an open dialogue with entrepreneurs in the Khorezm region.
According to the new rules, land plots will be offered for auction with a complete set of necessary documents. This package will include the architectural and planning assignment, the project, and the construction permit.
Thus, entrepreneurs will no longer have to go through lengthy procedures to obtain all the documents required before starting the construction of an object after purchasing land.
In addition, the government intends to reduce the financial burden on developers. It is planned to decrease the advance payment for the infrastructure fee from 20% to 5%.
These changes are aimed at reducing bureaucratic procedures and accelerating the process of transitioning from purchasing a land plot to implementing a construction project.
