The financial firm Cred is implementing a new application designed to connect registered users with experts in various fields who have been verified by the platform itself. Communication with these specialists will be conducted for a fixed fee of 25 rupees per minute.
These experts, whom Cred calls Residents in its new Circle application, possess relevant experience in career, finance, health, and interpersonal relationships. The company also plans to expand service categories in the future.
The platform, which is currently in beta testing, will allow users to interact with over one hundred such Residents. In a statement from the company, it was noted that Circle by CRED relies on the CRED community, which comprises 1.7 million affluent Indians with proven prudence and experience.
Residents act as sounding board partners, helping members interpret context, recognize patterns, and make decisions with greater clarity. For example, a founder who successfully scaled a company can help another founder consider issues related to hiring executives or attracting funding.
Experts were selected based on criteria such as relevance, qualification, and experience. Community members can contact them via text, audio, or video from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, seven days a week.
Miten Sampat, the interim CEO of Cred, stated that while information and analytics are abundant today, judgment and taste develop only through practical experience. He emphasized that for affluent community members, the collective experience of qualified peers is now accessible in a single conversation through the highly informative network on Circle by CRED, which contributes to their progress.
In India, online mentoring platforms have been gaining popularity in recent years, including companies such as Topmate, Preplaced, and Unstop.
