The capital's authorities have promised that the famous flea market 'Yangiabad' will not be transformed into a standard shopping center. During the modernization of the market, its unique atmosphere, established specialization, and the workplaces of current vendors will be preserved.
The renovation project includes creating proper sanitary conditions, increasing the level of security, as well as arranging comfortable pedestrian zones and parking spaces. Furthermore, the development of general infrastructure and the improvement of the market's landscaping are planned.
Currently, city authorities are working with architects to develop the concept for the renewal of 'Yangiabad'. This concept will subsequently be presented for public discussion to allow residents, buyers, and traders to review the plans and share their opinions.
The exact start and end dates for the construction work have not been determined at this time. Previously, Tashkent also announced plans to improve the 'Kadyšev' market, including greening the adjacent area and organizing the parking lot.
