Registration for the Global Entrepreneurship Congress Africa (GEC+Africa) 2026 is in full swing, marking the approach of one of the continent's most anticipated events for entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, corporations, and ecosystem participants.
The GEC+Africa event will take place on September 16-17, 2026, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). It will bring together thousands of interested parties from across the African continent and around the world under the theme 'Connecting Africa.'
Participants will have the opportunity to attend two days of high-level sessions, panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, investor meetings, policy dialogues, pitching sessions, masterclasses, and networking events aimed at stimulating economic growth, cooperation, and innovation.
Carmen Rudd, Project Lead for GEC+Africa, noted that 'GEC+Africa remains a platform for entrepreneurs and ecosystem leaders striving to shape Africa's economic future. By providing free access to General Delegates, we expand participation and ensure that entrepreneurs from all walks of life can be part of this important continental event.'
Those wishing for deeper involvement can opt for Premium Delegate access, which includes priority seating, specially curated networking opportunities, and exclusive interaction zones.
Over the past few months, the 'To GEC+Africa 2026' program has traveled across the continent, conducting Regional Bootcamps and Pitch Competitions in countries such as Botswana, Uganda, Namibia, Algeria, Ghana, Nigeria, Egypt, Kenya, and Tanzania. These events have helped identify outstanding entrepreneurs from across Africa, with the winner from each country gaining the right to participate in the continental final in Cape Town.
The program's journey now leads to South Africa, where entrepreneurs from nine provinces will compete for the final opportunity to represent their country at GEC+Africa 2026. Continuing the momentum of the 2024 Congress, GEC+Africa 2026 will facilitate discussions on digital transformation, market access, cross-border cooperation, and scaling African businesses. The Congress continues to create opportunities for knowledge exchange, investment, and collaboration, supporting the growth of startups, SMEs, and entrepreneurial ecosystems across Africa.
GEC+Africa is supported by African Bank in partnership with the Western Cape Government, Microsoft, Amazon, WESGRO, Telkom, 22 On Sloane, and a growing network of partners committed to advancing entrepreneurship in Africa.
