Scientists have for the first time been able to detect a stellar stream originating from a globular cluster located outside our Milky Way Galaxy. This stream was formed from stars that were torn away from the globular cluster by tidal forces emanating from the ultra-faint galaxy UGC 9050-Dw1.
This discovery holds significant scientific importance as it has allowed astronomers to establish new constraints regarding the mass of the dark matter halo. The research findings were officially published in the scientific journal Nature.
