An initiative called 'AI Partner for 10 Thousand Enterprises' has been launched in Uzbekistan. Under this program, the state commits to compensating businesses for half of the costs associated with implementing digital solutions. No less than one hundred million dollars has been allocated for the initial stage of this project.
The President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, announced this program on August 18 during an open dialogue with entrepreneurs held in the Khorezm region.
Analysts note that the transition to modern management methods and the use of artificial intelligence technologies yields tangible results: 54% of companies have recorded a significant increase in demand for their products, 25% have managed to reduce production costs, and 40% of enterprises have increased employee salaries by more than 10% due to rising revenues.
To support local businesses, the first supercomputing cluster was launched, operating based on the Digital Government Project Management Center. It is planned that the capacity of this cluster will triple next year. Entrepreneurs will be able to use the supercomputer free of charge to create their own models for new products, and the costs of research and development will be covered by the state budget.
All developed digital algorithms and solutions for commercial use will be placed on a common open platform. There is an intention to spread the successful experience of digitalization to the electrical engineering, food industry, and construction materials production sectors, where the state also subsidizes half of the automation costs.
Previously, the creation of a unified business support system in Uzbekistan was announced, which will cover the entire cycle from company registration to its transformation into a large production enterprise. Furthermore, during the open dialogue, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced additional measures aimed at simplifying lending, integrating artificial intelligence technologies, and privatizing state assets.
