The French renewable energy company Voltalia reported a 35% increase in revenue in the second quarter of 2026, with the exchange rate remaining unchanged, reaching 198 million euros. This growth is attributed to the commissioning of new capacities, particularly in South Africa and Uzbekistan.
For the first half of 2026, total revenue reached 331.3 million euros, representing a 30% increase at a constant exchange rate. Energy sales accounted for the largest share of revenue at 190.2 million euros, while the Renvolt construction and services division contributed 123.9 million euros.
Electricity generation in the 'African and International Projects' segment tripled following the launch of new assets, mainly in South Africa (148 MW) and Uzbekistan (126 MW). As of June 30, 2026, Voltalia's active operational capacity in Uzbekistan was 126 MW of solar generation, which produced 120 GWh of electricity in the first half of the year, including 84 GWh in the second quarter.
Furthermore, Voltalia is constructing two projects in Uzbekistan under the joint name Artemisya: a 100 MW wind power plant and a 100 MW energy storage system.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has completely exited Voltalia's share capital after gradually reducing its stake, which occurred after the capital increase in 2019. Nevertheless, Voltalia emphasized that it continues to maintain close cooperation with the EBRD through the bank's participation in financing several of the company's projects in Albania, Tunisia, and Uzbekistan.
Globally, Voltalia confirmed its financial targets for 2026, forecasting EBITDA in the range of 210 to 230 million euros, with energy sales expected to generate between 190 and 210 million euros. However, the company reduced its overall target capacity for 2026 from approximately 3.7 GW to about 3.6 GW due to revised project launch schedules.
