Russian E-Promo Group Enters Uzbekistan's Advertising Market

The Russian advertising agency E-Promo Group is expanding into the Uzbek market by registering a local legal entity in the country, as reported by Kommersant, citing statements from the company itself.

Over the next two years, the company plans to invest approximately $1 million USD and create a staff of about 30 employees for its local division. Establishing a presence in Uzbekistan will allow the firm to conclude contracts and conduct operations in the national currency, interacting directly with local advertisers, partners, and media platforms.

E-Promo explains its market entry due to strong sector growth, estimating that the advertising market in Uzbekistan has increased by 30% to 40% by 2025, reaching a volume of $260 million USD. It is expected that by the end of 2026, the market will exceed $300 million, maintaining rapid growth momentum.

The agency also noted the growing interest of Russian brands in the domestic market, suggesting that Russian advertisers already account for about 10% of Uzbekistan's advertising sector. Since many Russian firms have only appeared in the country in recent years, E-Promo forecasts further growth in their market share.

The highest demand for promoter services in Uzbekistan comes from companies in the fintech, marketplace, and classifieds sectors, driven by high internet penetration and the growth of e-commerce. Russian enterprises show particular interest in digital advertising, as this segment is growing faster than traditional channels, with Telegram standing out as a primary promotion tool.

Industry representatives confirm the increasing demand among Russian advertisers for promotion on Telegram in Uzbekistan. Ksenia Pavlenko, Communications Director at Telega.in, stated that the demand for advertising on this platform is rising across the CIS region—especially in Uzbekistan—among both large and small companies. She cited geographical expansion, the development of Telegram as an advertising platform, and the increase in Russian business campaigns as key factors.

Alexander Solonin, Director of Digital Development at Igronik group of companies, noted that Russian advertisers are moving from trial placements to systematic engagement with the local audience. Igor Demidov, CEO of the digital agency D-Agency, emphasized the need for Russian companies to have advertising partners familiar with both corporate operations in Russia and the local market.

E-Promo, ranking sixth in the AKAR and Sostav media agency ratings for 2026 due to its alliance with Group4Media and MG Group, generated 4.2 billion rubles in media buying in 2025, according to AKAR data.

Industry experts link the expansion of advertising companies across CIS countries to general regional economic indicators. Anna Planina, CEO of NMi Digital, pointed out that Uzbekistan's GDP grew by 8.5% in the first half of 2026, and economic growth is stimulating increased advertising activity. Market participants added that the creation of Russian advertising infrastructure in CIS countries facilitates the promotion of Russian brands on foreign platforms, including Telegram.
