Uzbekistan and China have started a specialized training initiative aimed at implementing practical methods of corn cultivation and preparing qualified specialists in the agricultural sector, according to the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan.

The opening ceremony of the program, titled 'Practical Technologies for Corn Cultivation in Uzbekistan and Training Program for Qualified Personnel for the Agricultural Sector,' took place at Tashkent State Agrarian University. A delegation from Xinjiang Agricultural University of China was present. Representatives from the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, along with forty Uzbek farmers, attended the event to discuss enhancing workforce potential, introducing modern technologies, and expanding bilateral agricultural ties.
The participating farmers will undergo both theoretical and practical training focused on corn production. The curriculum includes modern agrotechnologies such as water-saving irrigation methods, soil fertility improvement, and agricultural mechanization.
It is expected that the 40 trained farmers will apply the acquired technical knowledge and practical methodologies in their respective regions. Officials noted that this initiative aims to improve the professional skills of local agricultural experts while strengthening knowledge exchange between Uzbekistan and China in the agricultural field.
