Ras Al Khaimah residents can receive discounts and bonuses by becoming tourism ambassadors

Ras Al Khaimah is turning its residents and citizens into tourism ambassadors, motivating them to invite friends, relatives, and business partners from abroad to discover the emirate. This new program offers exclusive benefits, such as discounts on accommodation and attraction tickets.

The 'RAK Ambassador' initiative was launched on August 18th with the aim of strengthening the emirate's position as a global destination for tourism and investment, as well as supporting the goals of Ras Al Khaimah Vision 2030.

Citizens and residents over 18 years old can register as ambassadors and recommend visitors from abroad within the campaign, which runs from August 19th to October 31st, 2026. Visitors must be registered before arriving in the UAE with a tourist or visa-on-arrival visa, and each eligible host can recommend more than one guest.

The program is designed to encourage residents to share the beauty and opportunities of RAK with their professional and personal circles, thereby helping to attract international guests and increase spending in the hospitality, tourism, and retail sectors.

Participants will gain access to a range of special offers, including reduced rates for hotel stays, tickets to major tourist attractions, discounts at restaurants and cafes, as well as deals on marine activities and safari tours. The package also includes special benefits on luxury car rentals and exclusive purchases at Al Manar Mall.

The initiative was launched by the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is positioned as the first of its kind in the emirate. Dr. Rashid Halfan Al Nuaimi, CEO of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted that the program's goal is to diversify the tourism and investment experience while giving citizens and residents an active role in promoting the emirate.

Furthermore, this initiative brings together public and private sector partners to boost tourism activity, increase visitor spending, and improve hotel occupancy, while supporting the development of Ras Al Khaimah's hospitality and commercial sectors. Registration for the 'RAK Ambassador' program is available on the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry website.

UAE Tourism Council plans to expand the use of Jaywan, Esaad, Fazaa, and Saada cards to stimulate domestic tourism

The Emirates Tourism Council in the UAE intends to expand the scope of the 'Jaywan' card in the tourism sector and develop joint benefit packages with national resident programs such as Esaad, Fazaa, and Saada. The goal of these measures is to boost demand for domestic tourism.

During a Council meeting held in Ajman, chaired by the Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdullah bin Tuk Al Marri, new ways to encourage residents to explore the country more widely were discussed, including more active use of the national 'Jaywan' card and establishing new links with popular resident discount programs—Esaad, Fazaa, and Saada.

Bin Tuk stated that the Council will work to increase the network of tourist attractions accepting the 'Jaywan' card, as well as developing joint tourism offers in collaboration with the 'Esaad,' 'Fazaa,' and 'Saada' programs. He emphasized that this will provide citizens and residents with 'more diverse and attractive tourism options and experiences,' contributing to increased spending within the country.

The Council focused on the potential for creating comprehensive tourism products and offers that motivate residents to spend more money in the UAE, stay longer, and visit a wider range of destinations within the emirates. Council members discussed deepening cooperation with Esaad, Fazaa, and Saada—privilege programs for UAE residents—as well as partnering with hotels, attractions, and service providers to create competitive offerings tailored to various social groups. According to officials, the objective is to revitalize domestic tourism and extend benefits to a greater number of destinations and establishments.

In addition to resident-focused schemes, the Council reviewed the progress of developing the 'Visit UAE' digital platform into a full national umbrella mechanism for the country's tourism offering. Strengthening partnerships between government bodies and the private sector was also discussed. Council members analyzed plans to expand the use of the Jaywan card specifically in the tourism sector, which officials believe will direct more funds toward domestic tourism activities and businesses.

Under the UAE National Tourism Strategy 2031, the UAE aims to increase the tourism sector's contribution to GDP to 450 billion dirhams by 2031. Bin Tuk noted that the UAE is committed to 'strengthening integration between federal and local tourism authorities and the private sector to develop and implement new initiatives and projects that support the growth of the tourism sector and enhance its regional and global competitiveness.' He added that the goal is to provide 'a diverse and integrated tourism experience that encourages visitors to explore more than one destination in the country, extend their stay, and increase their tourism spending.'

Furthermore, the Council reviewed the UAE's international participation program in tourism, valid until March 2027, which includes participation in major exhibitions and platforms across Europe, Asia, America, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
