Tashkent Metro will resume escalator operation at Pakhtakor station earlier than scheduled

The Tashkent Metro has announced the early return to service of escalator No. 3. It will operate again on August 5, 2026, in the transfer passage between Alisher Navoi and Pakhtakor stations.

According to the company's press service, the repair work was completed ahead of the established schedule. Previously, this ET-5M type escalator was closed for maintenance from July 21, 2026, to August 17, 2026.

The reason for the shutdown was the requirement to replace the drive chains. The work carried out was aimed at improving the quality of service and ensuring passenger safety. Specialists completely replaced the drive chains on escalator No. 3 during the repair.

After completing all necessary measures, the facility was prepared for resumption of operation. Tashkent Metro emphasized that it will continue to carry out necessary measures to maintain safe and high-quality service for passengers.
