YEIDA approves Taiwan City, Stadium, and other projects near Jewar-Noida Airport

The Yamuna Expressway Authority (YEIDA) has approved several new schemes to develop the area adjacent to the Jewar-Noida Airport into an advanced and massive hub. The primary objective of this entire plan is to provide better facilities in the region, attract large corporations, and create new employment opportunities for residents.

A large health center (Medical Hub) and a university township will be established in this area for better medical care and education. Additionally, an international stadium will be built to promote sports activities, while a large inter-state bus terminal will be prepared to ensure passenger convenience and better connectivity. Taiwan City and a special pharma cluster for drug manufacturing companies will also be created to boost trade and employment.

Furthermore, a modern mandi will be developed to simplify the process of buying, selling, and maintaining crops for farmers. All these projects will lead to rapid development in the Jewar Airport area in the future. The Medical Hub will be developed on 500 acres in Sectors 13 and 14, and the University Township will be developed on 480 acres in Sector 14, expanding healthcare services and higher education facilities.

An state-of-the-art international stadium will be built on 50 acres in Sector 23D to encourage sports. Additionally, a high-tech mandi will be established on 36 acres in Sector 34 to make it easier for farmers to sell, store, and receive fair prices for their produce.

Considering the growing transportation needs around Noida International Airport, a decision has been made to build an inter-state bus terminal in Sector 23C to improve connectivity. To attract foreign investment in the electronics and technology manufacturing sector in Uttar Pradesh, Taiwan City on 300 acres and a pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing cluster on 100 to 125 acres in the same sector have been approved in Sector 6.

The Board has increased the land purchase rates by 6 percent from farmers in Gautam Buddha Nagar and Bulandshahr under Phase-1 with mutual consent, resulting in the new rate increasing from Rs 4,300 per square meter to Rs 4,558 per square meter. As an alternative, the rate for the 7 percent population plot has been set at Rs 4,037 per square meter. All these projects will strengthen the Jewar Airport area as a major industrial and institutional center.
