The Government of Uttar Pradesh has issued important directives regarding the process of recruitment into public service for applicants preparing to work in the government sector. Chief Secretary SP Goel instructed various selection committees and admission boards to accelerate recruitment procedures and ensure they are conducted in a timely and transparent manner.
According to the issued directives, institutions are mandated to develop an annual recruitment calendar and adhere to it during the implementation of the process. The focus is not only on conducting the exams themselves but also on completing subsequent stages within the established deadlines. Special attention is paid to avoiding unnecessary delays in stages related to examinations, results, document verification, and appointment to work, which requires regular monitoring and prompt resolution of accumulated issues.
The state has stated that ensuring more employment opportunities is a priority. Committees and admission boards must conduct processes from exam administration to appointment within set timelines, while respecting their autonomy and rules. This is expected to ease the lives of youth and increase their chances of securing employment.
The Chief Secretary also addressed officials with a demand not to compromise on the quality, transparency, and impartiality of the exams, despite the drive to speed up the process. He emphasized the need to promote the use of modern technologies to improve the examination system, as well as strengthening coordination between various selection committees and admission boards.
At the meeting, representatives of the relevant selection committees and admission boards provided a report on the progress of current recruitment processes. Participating organizations included the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), the Uttar Pradesh Staff Selection Commission (UPSSSC), and the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, as well as other related bodies.
It should be noted that various commissions have previously published their examination schedules. For instance, the UPPSC website has an examination calendar for 2026, and UPSSSC has also published the schedule for various recruitment exams for 2026.
