The state housing construction program is a true blessing for needy families. Having benefited from this program, people who lived in straw and grass houses for years now have joy on their faces. A similar situation is observed in the Amati district of Uttar Pradesh, where a widow who lived in a straw house for a long time was able to realize her dream of permanent housing thanks to the government housing program.
Receiving state housing made of brick and cement, happiness is clearly visible on the woman's face. Devanti, a resident of Lohrata village in the developing Amati district, had lived in a straw hut for many years. Her husband passed away 20 years ago.
During the rainy season, water often appeared in the house, after which she approached officials with a request for a permanent home. She was provided with housing under the state housing program.
Devanti recounted that she previously lived in a straw house. During the rains, water seeped into the house, soaking not only food but also other necessary items. The family faced significant difficulties during the rainy season.
When Devanti, after many hardships, received benefits from the state housing program and a permanent house was built, her joy was boundless. The woman noted that she could never have dreamed that her dream of owning a permanent house would come true.
Devanti highly appreciates the state housing program. She believes that this initiative brings great benefit to poor and needy families. Thanks to receiving permanent housing, she no longer has to face problems during rain and bad weather, and now she lives with her family in a safe home.
