Unitree Robot Demonstrates Two-Meter Jump and Running Speed Exceeding World Record

The Chinese company Unitree Robotics introduced its humanoid robot, which demonstrated results surpassing human performance in both running speed and vertical jump height.

During testing, the android reached a maximum speed of 12.66 meters per second, exceeding the previous absolute record of 12.42 meters per second. Furthermore, the robot, whose legs are only 85 centimeters long, managed to perform a vertical jump from a standstill to a height of approximately two meters, surpassing the world record of 1.8 meters.

Developers reported that the prototype, unofficially named Superman, was created in less than three and a half months. The project is currently in the initial development phase, and engineers intend to focus on significant upgrades to hardware components and refinement of motion control algorithms.

A demonstration video was posted on the company's official YouTube channel.
