The Samsung Galaxy A57 is a mid-range smartphone from this brand that combines a slim body, powerful hardware, and features typically found in more advanced models on the market. It is equipped with a triple camera and interesting artificial intelligence functions.
Olhar Digital conducted testing of the device and shared a detailed review. The Galaxy A57 is distinguished by its lightness and thinness, having a thickness of only 6.9 mm, which makes daily use comfortable and unburdensome. The back panel is made of glass, giving it an attractive appearance, but this leads to fingerprints appearing. Furthermore, the device has dust and water resistance, protecting against accidental splashes or drops.
The screen has a diagonal of 6.7 inches and uses Super AMOLED technology with a 120Hz refresh rate. This provides bright colors, deep blacks, and very smooth page scrolling. The bezels around the display are minimal, allowing maximum use of the front part of the device. The screen remains clearly visible even under bright sunlight, and the in-display fingerprint sensor quickly unlocks the phone. This is a pleasant combination for extended video viewing or social media navigation.
The internal configuration includes the Exynos 1680 processor and 8 GB of RAM. This configuration handles typical daily tasks, such as switching between apps, using social networks, browsing the internet, and watching high-quality media content, without slowdowns. For gamers, it provides good performance in most popular games. However, under prolonged load in very demanding games, the device may heat up slightly and exhibit minor freezes, but for standard use, the performance is more than sufficient.
In terms of software, Samsung guarantees support with updates for up to six years, including new system versions and security patches, meaning a long service life without becoming obsolete. The Galaxy A57 battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh, which is a standard figure for this category. With moderate use, the phone can last a full day, and sometimes even until the next day, depending on user activity.
However, if the user is more demanding and spends a lot of time on 5G networks, taking photos, or gaming, the battery life will decrease, and a recharge during the day will likely be necessary. Although the battery is sufficient for most scenarios, it is not the longest-lasting on the market.
On one hand, the Galaxy A57 supports fast charging up to 45W, but this requires an additional purchase. The box includes a standard 15W charger, which charges the device from zero to one hundred percent in about an hour and a half. There are three cameras on the back panel: a 50MP main camera, a 12MP wide-angle camera, and a 5MP macro camera. The selfie camera has a resolution of 12MP. This set provides good picture quality with bright colors, ready to be posted on social media without extra editing.
The wide-angle camera helps capture broader landscapes while maintaining similar color consistency to the main camera. In low light, night mode automatically activates to illuminate the scene while preserving high quality. The macro camera also allows for satisfactory close-up shots of objects. The 12MP front camera handles everyday shots well, works effectively in backlighting (such as when shooting near a window) without darkening the face, and maintains a natural skin tone without an artificial filter effect. Additionally, it supports 4K video recording at 30 frames per second for calls and short clips.
A drawback in the camera system is the lack of true zoom. When trying to zoom in on a distant object, the picture loses quality and becomes blurry. The Galaxy A57 is a premium mid-range device that inherits some AI features previously only available in the Galaxy S line. The 'Circle to Search' tool can now detect multiple objects simultaneously, and the voice recorder can automatically transcribe and translate audio recordings, which is especially useful for classes and meetings. It is also fully integrated with Google Gemini, which acts as the standard assistant for voice commands and automating routine tasks. Artificial intelligence is also used in image processing: the object removal tool accurately eliminates unwanted people or objects from the background without noticeable blurring.
For users of other Samsung ecosystem devices, the Galaxy A57 offers the advantage of simple and complete synchronization, allowing calls to be taken directly from tablets or computers of the same brand, as well as transferring files nearby without needing cables or third-party applications. This is a smartphone with powerful hardware in a slim body, a high-quality screen, and good battery life. The Galaxy A57 is ideal for those who want a powerful phone with a guarantee of long update support. It will handle both daily social media use and more demanding tasks like heavy gaming.
However, it is important to consider the drawbacks: there are batteries with greater capacity on the market, as well as chargers with higher power than what is included. For fast charging, the Galaxy A57 will require additional expenditure to purchase a different adapter. Other disadvantages include the glass back panel, which collects fingerprints, and the lack of optical zoom for photography enthusiasts. As expected for smartphones in this price segment, the Galaxy A57 does not have a traditional headphone jack, forcing the user to use Bluetooth models.
