According to forecasts, strong heat will continue in Uzbekistan on Friday and Saturday, with air temperatures reaching 37-40 degrees Celsius. In the southern territories and desert areas, temperatures may rise to 41-43 degrees Celsius.
However, a slight drop of 2-3 degrees is expected on Sunday, although truly cool weather is not anticipated yet.
According to Uzhydromet, the period from August 14 to 16 in Uzbekistan will be characterized by predominantly partly cloudy and dry weather. Short-term rains and thunderstorms are possible in mountainous regions today, while no precipitation is forecast in other parts of the country.
Nighttime temperatures will fluctuate between 21-26 degrees Celsius. Daytime heat on Friday and Saturday will be 37-40 degrees Celsius, and in the south and desert zone, thermometers may rise to 41-43 degrees Celsius.
On Sunday, the temperature will drop by 2-3 degrees, but the weather will remain hot. Increased winds are expected in some places, with speeds potentially reaching 13-18 meters per second, and dust storms are possible in some areas.
In the capital, Tashkent, the partly cloudy and dry conditions will persist throughout all three days. Nighttime temperatures in Tashkent will be 23-26 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures on Friday and Saturday will be 38-40 degrees Celsius, and on Sunday—36-38 degrees Celsius.
In Tashkent, an easterly wind prevails at a speed of 3-8 meters per second, with gusts potentially increasing to 10-14 meters per second. Dust storms are also likely in some districts of the capital.
