Reality show 'Khatoron Ke Khiladi' sparks controversy over dangerous stunts, including injuries and memory loss

The 15th season of the reality show 'Khatoron Ke Khiladi' from Colors TV has become a focus due to the controversial and extreme stunts featured in the program. Discussions have arisen regarding the permissibility of such risky elements for the sake of boosting ratings, ranging from serious injuries sustained from pallet guns to reports of participants experiencing temporary memory loss during water challenges.

A recent incident involved actress Jasmine Bhasing. During the filming of one of the latest episodes, she participated in a water stunt with Rubina Dilak. However, as soon as she entered the water, Jasmine was injured and appeared disoriented. After completing the stunt, she approached host Rohit Shetty, claiming she did not remember what happened. The show's medical team placed her under observation and advised her to rest.

Later, Jasmine herself shared that it was an unusual experience, and she still cannot recall the details of the incident in the water.

This controversy is not isolated. Previously, viewers were shocked by content involving another participant, Gauray Khanna, who posted a photo of his back covered in marks from rubber bullets and blood. He described this experience as the most painful so far. Similarly, participant Karan Vahi also posted a similar photo, which sparked anger on social media, leading many to question the intentions of the show's creators, driven by ratings.

Furthermore, questions arose about another stunt where hot wax was applied to a participant's hand. A contestant, among whom was the youngest participant Ruhnika Dhawan, aged 18, was supposed to endure this pain for about ten minutes. Following this stunt, the public began criticizing the show's producers, calling such trials meaningless.

Following a wave of criticism regarding the stunts in 'Khatoron Ke Khiladi', the show's representatives issued a statement. They assert that all challenges are conducted under expert supervision and emphasize that no participant is coerced into performing stunts; they do so voluntarily. Dipak Dhar, CEO of the production house, commented on the situation, stating that the show is not cruel. He noted that fear is an inherent part of the program, given its name 'Fear Factor'. He added, however, that all shoots take place in international locations where all safety protocols are strictly observed, and participant safety is their top priority.
