The stock exchange company BSE Ltd and the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) announced a partnership on Monday. The goal of this collaboration is to promote equity financing and increase access for small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMEs) to the capital market nationwide.
The organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This document aims to raise SME awareness about equity financing, especially through the BSE SME platform, and assist eligible businesses in the listing process.
Partnership Details
Under this partnership, BSE will provide subject matter experts and trainers to conduct various events. These include seminars, workshops, roadshows, and training sessions aimed at helping SMEs understand the benefits and requirements of raising capital through financial markets.
Furthermore, this cooperation will give SMEs access to mentorship, expert guidance, and capacity-building initiatives. A nodal point mechanism will also be established to help businesses find suitable opportunities in the capital market.
Leadership Statements
Sundararaman Ramamurthy, Managing Director and CEO of BSE, noted that this partnership will help bring SME listing awareness closer to businesses across the country. He emphasized that 'the BSE SME Platform provides eligible businesses with the opportunity to raise capital for growth while enhancing their visibility and corporate credibility.'
For its part, the chamber will leverage its extensive network of member associations, industry bodies, and regional chambers to reach SMEs and implement awareness and capacity-building initiatives.
