Head Constable's life saved with AI advice; Snake bite incident in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh

A startling incident has emerged in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, where the life of a police constable was saved with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This happened when a Head Constable was bitten by a venomous Krait snake hidden in his bed. The police personnel sought information from AI regarding first aid, which advised keeping the patient calm and preventing movement, as panic accelerates the spread of venom.

This accident occurred at the government quarters of Bijoli Police Station, where Head Constable Puran Sikarwar was bitten twice on his hand by a snake while sleeping. As soon as he felt the bite, he raised an alarm, after which the Station House Officer Saurabh Srivastava and other police personnel immediately reached the spot and saw the snake.

Since the hospital was far away, the Station House Officer first asked AI Gemini what to do in case of a snakebite on the hand. AI advised keeping the injured person calm and preventing them from moving. It also suggested taking a picture of the snake from a safe distance to identify it.

The Station House Officer immediately took a photo of the snake and then obtained primary precautions from AI based on that picture. Keeping these precautions in mind, the police personnel rushed Puran Sikarwar to the hospital without any delay.

Head Constable was taken to Jayarogya Hospital (JAH) in Gwalior, where doctors were shown the picture of the snake. Based on the picture, doctors started treatment, suspecting a Common Krait bite. Upon receiving information about the incident, SSP Dharamveer Singh Yadav also reached the hospital to know the progress of the Head Constable's treatment. After initial treatment, he was transferred to a private hospital for better care.

Currently, Puran Sikarwar's health condition is reported to be stable, and doctors are monitoring him, showing improvement. This incident took place on Thursday night in the government quarters of Bijoli Police Station premises, when a Common Krait attacked the Head Constable's hand while he was sleeping.

Incidents of snakes entering homes and government residences increase during the rainy season. In this context, police officials have appealed to people to remain vigilant. They have advised that beds, clothes, and other items should be thoroughly checked and shaken before use.

The quick response of the police personnel and the timely transportation to the hospital were extremely important. However, the article clarified that AI advice should not be considered an alternative to medical treatment for a snakebite; rather, it is most essential to get the person to the hospital as quickly as possible in such a situation.
