University of Sheffield offers scholarship worth £7,000 to international students from 10 countries

The University of Sheffield has announced a significant support program for young people aspiring to study abroad. The university will provide a scholarship of £7,000 for international students from 10 countries and regions planning to enroll in Master's programs in September 2027. This amount will be given as a tuition fee discount.

It is important to note that candidates do not need to submit a separate application to receive this scholarship; the university will review eligible applicants automatically. Interested students are advised to check the official scholarships website of the University of Sheffield for detailed information.

In addition to India, students from countries such as Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Nigeria, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam may apply for this 2027 international Master's scholarship.

Several conditions must be met to participate in this scholarship program. Students must be enrolled in a postgraduate program in September 2027 and have an official invitation from the university. Furthermore, they must accept this offer by 4 PM British time on July 6, 2027. Additionally, applicants must be residents of the respective country or have lived there for the past five years. They must also qualify as international students for tuition payment and be prepared to cover their own study expenses. The scholarship is exclusively for those intending to study full-time on Master's programs, including MArch courses.

This financial aid does not apply to Postgraduate Diplomas (PGDip) or Postgraduate Certificates (PGCert). Online courses, distance learning, Crossways courses, and Erasmus Mundus programs are also excluded. Students studying in programs with high clinical costs are also not eligible. Moreover, the scholarship does not cover courses shared between the University of Sheffield and any other educational institution.

Generally, the £7,000 scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships or discounts provided by the University of Sheffield itself. If a student receives financial support from an external organization, whether full or partial payment, both forms of aid cannot be used simultaneously. Similarly, if a student receives a loan from an organization affiliated with the university, they cannot utilize this scholarship. In cases of multiple funding sources, the one providing the larger sum will be applied. Students cannot extend this scholarship to the following academic year; deferring enrollment will result in the cancellation of the scholarship. However, students enrolled in a two-year Master's program may receive £7,000 in the second year, provided they successfully complete the first year. This scholarship is not available for years dedicated to industry work or study abroad.
