The new housing program by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), named 'Karmidivi Awaas Yojana 2026', received a significant response from its first day of launch. Out of a total of 1218 available apartments, 661 units were booked on the very first day, with all 1-BHK type apartments selling out instantly.
Under this program, DDA offers a special discount of 25 percent on ready-to-move housing in Narela. The main objective of this initiative is to provide housing to eligible professionals working in government institutions, retirees, as well as those employed in the corporate, business, entrepreneurial, and professional sectors.
These apartments are located in zones 11, sector A1-A4 of Narela and are provided on a freeholding basis. The program offers 1-BHK, 2-BHK, and 3-BHK housing options. After applying the 25% discount, the starting price for a 1-BHK is 33.40 lakh rupees, for a 2-BHK it is 75.55 lakh rupees, and for a 3-BHK it is 1.065 crore rupees. The biggest advantage of this program is that all apartments are fully ready for occupancy, eliminating waiting time for buyers.
In this program, instead of a traditional lottery, the 'first-come, first-served' principle is applied. Registration for participation in the program began on July 24, and booking through the DDA portal became available on August 15. The booking period will last until October 30, 2026, or until the complete exhaustion of apartment stock. Applicants must pay a one-time registration fee of 2500 rupees, while the booking amount depends on the apartment category.
Narela plays a crucial role in the DDA's housing development strategy. The authority places particular emphasis on infrastructure development, including roads, sports facilities, and educational institutions, as well as the planned proximity to the metro and the RRTS transport system in the area. In the first quarter of the current fiscal year, DDA sold a total of 1284 apartments, of which 1153 belonged exclusively to Narela. The initial days of sales clearly demonstrate high interest in the affordable 1-BHK segment, and DDA's primary goal is to provide housing for working professionals and government employees in Narela.
