In Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, an event was held on Friday to launch the Azerbaijani version of the documentary film 'Guardian of Heritage'. This project is the first of its kind produced and dubbed by the China Media Group (CMG) in the Azerbaijani language.
The film presents vivid stories reflecting President Xi Jinping's deep concern for the preservation and development of culture. It also introduces the international audience to the essence of Xi Jinping's thought on culture and the strong cultural foundation underlying his governance philosophy.
Following the launch ceremony, the documentary was screened on the cultural channel of the Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting Closed Joint Stock Company (CJSC), Azerbaijan's national broadcaster, as well as on the ARB 24 channel, a private national news television channel.
Attendees at the event included Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei, CMG TV and Film Dubbing Center Director Wang Lu, Deputy Chairman of the Cultural Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan Gunay Efendiyeva, Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting CJSC Tural Babayev, and ARB 24 Executive Director Radik Ismailov.
Several Azerbaijani scholars, media representatives, and representatives from cultural and educational institutions shared their views on the documentary. They highly praised Xi's efforts to preserve humanity's cultural memory, noting their profound significance for sustainable development. Guests also commended the film for its picturesque and understandable portrayal of Xi through historical footage.
During the event, the CMG TV and Film Dubbing Center presented a series of high-quality programs, including 'China Flash Forward', the first episode of 'Crafted in China', and 'Song of the Yellow River'.
